Add-ins

The Add-Ins dialog box lists the add-ins that are available to load into Microsoft Excel. Loading an add-in makes the feature available and adds any associated commands to the appropriate menus.

Select a check box to load an add-in and make its commands and features available in Excel. To unload an add-in and free up memory, clear the check box. Unloading the add-in does not remove it from your computer.

You can click the Browse button to locate an add-in program installed on your computer. By default, the Add-Ins dialog box lists add-ins installed only in the Windows\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Library folder (including its subfolders), or in the Windows\Profiles\YourUserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Addins folder.

You can click the Automation button to list all Component Object Model (COM) add-ins available to load into Excel.

In the lower portion of the Add-Ins dialog box, you will find a description of the selected add-in.
